Clara is a Senior Advisor at the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, specializing in energy, green finance, and climate policy. With over a decade of experience, she provides technical advice, policy analysis, and strategic guidance to support the global energy transition and sustainable development efforts.
Prior to joining UNEP-CCC, Clara worked as a Policy Analyst at the International Energy Agency (IEA), where she led initiatives in energy efficiency for cooling, buildings, appliances, and equipment. She was also responsible for the E4 Programme in Latin America and China. Her work included designing programs, delivering policy advice, conducting training sessions, and developing analytical frameworks.
She holds a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering and serves as a guest lecturer at Harvard University, where she teaches on sustainable building futures. Most recently, Clara was the lead author of the Global ESCO Market Report and co-author of the Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction, among others.
