The mission of the REE-IGEM is to support the promotion of energy efficiency and gender integration in access to energy.
The general objective of the REE-IGEM is to contribute to the improvement of political, strategic, regulatory and investment frameworks in favour of an increased and sustainable national market in terms of energy efficiency and gender integration in access. to energy.
The specific objectives are:
- Promote energy efficiency in buildings, industry and residential on behalf of public bodies, private, industrial or commercial companies and individuals;
- Raise awareness, communicate and educate the public (decision-makers, businesses, media, citizens, technical and financial partners, investors, etc.) for a change in behaviour in favour of energy efficiency and gender inclusion in access to energy;
- Promote a sensitive and favourable national framework for the appropriate implementation of policies and other sub-regional, regional and international initiatives in terms of energy efficiency and gender integration in access to energy;
- Support studies, research & development, the emergence of dedicated national expertise and exchanges of experience in the areas of energy efficiency and gender inclusion in access to energy ;
- Guide and support policies implemented in terms of technological innovation and the development of renewable and efficient technologies in the value chain of energy use;
- Contribute to the influence of policies to facilitate the financing of energy efficiency and gender inclusion in energy access.
- Defend the interests of its members and promote their development;
- Support the creation of a national structure dedicated to energy efficiency and the promotion of Gender in access to Energy.
